KeymasterDefinitely in for tonight, Thursday. I’ve already prepared my equipment. I’ll be there by 8:20. It’s the same spot as before? Take a right onto Hockanum Rd. And then take a left on Henry St? That looks like it leads to Venture’s field. I’ll have my cell on. Anyone else coming?

KeymasterLarry, Let me know if you’ll be going tonight. I can make it. Rachel

KeymasterThere are also dragonflies, butterflies and just plain old wildflowers. BTW, you don’t need a macro or micro lens. I use my Nikon 70-300 VR or 200-500 VR. What you do need is a fast shutter speed, hence you can do it without a tripod. I took this with the 200-500 a few days ago. f/9 – 1/640 sec – 35mm focal length 600 – ISO 1000 – handheld. I shoot manual with auto ISO.

KeymasterI’ve watched a few videos and came away with these pointers. Some are a bit complicated.
1 – use manual settings
2 – bracket shots
3 – use manual focus
4 – aperture f/8 recommended
5 – use a tripod!
6 – make sure you tripod is set up straight – some have a level bubble to go by
7 – shoot portrait
8 – overlap shots by 1/3rd
9 – use LR to develop in HDR
10- photo merge
11- ounce you’ve merged the photos into 1 shot be careful when using the sliders
to adjust the shot. Instead use the paint brush to spot adjustLarry, do you a simplified version of instructions or is this pretty much it.

KeymasterI’m not going to be able to make it. Mid-terms this week. I had forgotten. How could I forget that?

KeymasterThanks for your comments, Eileen! It also matches the more modern look of our website.

KeymasterHi, Charlie,
The point of the large photos is for their beauty to exactly BE distracting! So far, the general consensus is that the large photos in the slideshow format look great.
Thanks for your input!

KeymasterThanks, Dave. I’ve emailed you what we’re looking at.

KeymasterCharlie,
The logo is being worked on by one of our members who is a graphic artist and is donating his time. The names aren’t updated because I haven’t gotten to all of them yet. It’s a 3 hour process. We’re looking at a less consuming time to update. As I’ve stated in emails, this is a work in progress and we are still working on tweaking it.
